Our Goals
Keeping Hope Alive's Goals.
Our Goals
1) ALLEVIATE HUNGER AND WORK TOWARDS A SUSTAINED LIVING
a) Promotion of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) utilizing structured activities for marginalized girls in particular to acquire those skills which are required to face challenges that arise with the adjusting economy.

b) Capacity building for marginalized women and girls through workshops to enhance diversity, gender equality and create opportunities for entrepreneurship and employment.

c) Limit food importation in Africa by supporting women and girls to raise the production of indigenous food crops through climate-smart agriculture. By so doing, communities will enjoy food security, gain income from employment, acquire skills, improved livelihood and build climate resilience. Ultimately, we will build social capital and contribute towards a sustainable economic growth.
2) PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT
a) Create awareness to emphasize good environmental practices for the purpose of maintaining an ecological balance in rural areas. Communities will be supported to use available resources efficiently and economically.

b) Encourage and support women to engage in afforestation, manage land efficiently through Agroforestry so that its productivity is increased and restored.

c) Increase the supply of timber used by communities for agricultural implements, house construction and other domestic purposes (eg. charcoal/firewood for cooking) through tree planting. These can meet the requirement of the rural population and reduce the pressure on forests.

d) Work with local communities to put measures in place to deter deforestation, unauthorized cutting of trees and prevention of irresponsible slash and burn farming techniques.
3) PROMOTE HEALTHY LIFESTYLES
Work hard to alleviate preventable illnesses and unnecessary deaths by;

a) Promoting fundamental basics of healthy living and making healthy lifestyle choices.

b) Providing clean safe water, sustainable healthcare facilities and advancing good sanitation habits.
4) TOWARDS THE FUTURE
a) Eradicate inequality and restricted access by ensuring marginalized children, girls in particular, have an equal chance at receiving good quality education through good educational facilities. Acquiring good education increases the chance of children fulfilling their potential and escaping poverty.
